The history of Cork Apartment ...

... dates back to the ’90s, when I lived half my life in Eger. I went to high-school in Eger and I lived in a dormitory. I was walking in the city. I studied, experienced and imagined that one day I would be great and surely Life would surge very far. I loved every detail of Eger. Especially the little specialities. The small streets, the atmosphere, the feeling, the Dobó Square, the Szépasszony Valley, the castle, the pedestrian street, the MÁS club, the frog cookie, the downtown, the history, the buildings, the small pubs and wine bars, the vineyards. As I walked, several buildings stuck inside me. Feeling good...

... this good feeling has persisted for many years/decades and coming back during all visits. Life has really took me away to many parts of the world. Then, after many years and many experiences, somehow old memories and values coming back. I always “went home” to the Mátra, but when I came to Eger and showed my children the old things, I had the same “I arrived home” feeling. The atmosphere, feelings and flashes of the city remained. Whoever comes to Eger - getting himself in it - will never forget.

The Cork Apartment building...

...is particularly captivating (see history in Information). This house was always caught when I was walking downtown in the mid-’90s. I never thought that maybe one day I could start with heart and soul here the little hospitality place where it’s just good to be. It is just simply great to exist and relax. The huge walls of the house are reminiscent of the castle and radiate some inexplicable serenity. The interior, layout, equipment provide everything you may need. If you come with family and relax with the kids after a city walk or if you come with friends and want to relax somewhere after a good wine.
